Overall I did enjoy this story although I thought it should/could have been so much more. Is spite of the "criminal" backdrop, both Adam and Linus were very likeable characters. However, there was a lot of hints dropped about them having similar very difficult early years, which could have been a major part of the character and relationship building but was, instead, never explored. I also had a difficult time with the writing style. The way the author attempted to fully describe things felt more like way too many run-on sentences.Product details

I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.......Linus, an American, gets stranded in Cuba (which I find to be horrifying) and becomes fully dependent on Adam, his business partner in crime, and crush(also a Cuban citizen). They weren't too personal with each other, or open due to each having trust issues but their relationship changes a bit after Linus gets stranded there and Adam's feelings surface more at the end. However,they broke up and Linus was left to his own devices while in Cuba and runs into different problems. I did love the ending and this is a very nicely written story with unique and intriguing characters. )
